so instead of putting up with the frustration of starting a new blog, I will just start this one from where I left off. I promise to do a better job of not just writing books on end about nonsense and genuinely entertain you along the way.
I am currently in San Ignacio, Belize. It is in the Cayo district and I will be here until October1st. I am learning Spanish and specializing in Youth Development. I am living with a host family. I have 2 brothers that are 15 and 9 years old. Gian and Sheldon.
Some of the highlights thus far of my host family are:
-Upon arrival, Sheldon was waiting for the rain to come with his slip n' slide ready to go with soap.
-Mr. Trapp, who is a town council member, started a program trying to promote gardening in the city and agreed to start a garden for you if you'll maintain it. After an hour of meeting my host family, I had planted 3 gardens with him.
-We got back and he pulled out a bottle of rum. I made a drink, he grabbed it from me and told me it wasnt strong enough. "Make them strong and the Coke lasts longer." Thats the point when I realized Coke is more expensive than rum here. Good to know.
-Every morning I need no alarm clock to wake up, I have roosters and dogs barking to do that for me.
-While my main language will be Spanish, I have picked up on some kriol as well. Answer me this: Da wee yoo do di do?
Ok that is all for now, I'll be trying to fill you in as much as possible in the upcoming weeks.
